Students will progress through courses of the first year to obtain a diploma in the culinary arts or hospitality management. Upon successful completion of a second year of study, students can also earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management.

The program will also provide a learning combination of food preparation and restaurant management with applicable hands-on experience throughout the program. These combined learning experiences will provide program graduates with the necessary skill sets to successfully enter the food industry. The students will complete an on-the-job training practicum to complete their well-rounded culinary arts and hospitality management program. This will provide the student with a real-life experience and introduction in culinary arts and also food service management.

Course Schedule

The Culinary Program offers students the option to enter the workforce after completion of the program. Students will progress through the courses of the first year to obtain a diploma in culinary arts. The program combines the important components of food preparation and culinary arts, along with nutrition, food safety and sanitation, art of cuisine, and food service management.

First Semester

The Hospitality Management program offers students the option to enter the workforce after completion of the diploma program. The students gain valuable learning experiences in the areas of restaurant and hospitality management, event planning, customer service, safety and sanitation, food service technology, purchasing and cost control, accounting, sales, marketing and beverage management.
